Most Cambodian festivals are related to Buddhism or to the agricultural seasons. Each celebration is conducted primarily under the leadership of the order of monks. During this time the lay Buddhist’s come to the temple and join in worshiping the Buddha, Chanting, asking for precepts, listening to sermons, offering alms to the monks in the form of food, gifts, robes, medicines, and donating money to the temple.
